President Bush Sends Greetings on the Occasions of Independence Day and Oraza Bayram

U.S. President George W. Bush sent the following letters to the President of Turkmenistan Saparmyrat Niyazov, on the occasions of Turkmenistan's 15 th anniversary of independence and the Muslim holiday of the Oraza Bayram.

On behalf of the people of the United States, please accept our sincere congratulations on the occasion of Turkmenistan’s 15 th anniversary of independence on October 27. The United States supports the people of Turkmenistan in achieving their full potential and enjoying the democratic stability and prosperity they deserve.
