Public Photo Exhibition to Highlight US-Turkmenistan Relations

Ashgabat, June 9, 2010 – In honor of the upcoming Annual Bilateral Consultations, the U.S. Embassy in Ashgabat and Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Culture will host a photo exhibition to highlight the cooperation and friendship between the two countries.  The exhibition of over 50 photographs will be held at the main Exhibition Hall of the Union of Artists of Turkmenistan and will be open to the public from Monday, June 14th through Monday, June 21st from 09:00 to 18:00.  The exhibition will be closed on Saturday – June 19 and Sunday – June 20.  

The exhibition is designed to highlight the various areas of cooperation in the U.S-Turkmenistan bilateral relationship.  Photographs cover a broad and diverse range of activities that underscore the common interests the two countries share, including photographs of high-level meetings, student exchanges, cultural exchanges, USAID activities, and the activities of Peace Corps volunteers in Turkmenistan.

The exhibition will remain open until June, 21 2010 and is set to correspond with the Annual Bilateral Consultations between U.S. and Turkmen officials in Ashgabat.  The exhibition hall is located on the facility’s second floor and is open to the public starting on June 14th at 09:00.
