Community Connections Program

Introducing Principles of Modern Surveillance of Infectious Diseases

The U.S. Agency for International Development and American Councils for International Education are pleased to announce the beginning of recruitment for the “Introducing Principles of Modern Surveillance of Infectious Diseases” Community Connections Program. Community Connections is a program of cultural and professional exchange for Turkmenistan professionals. Finalists of this program will travel to the United States to participate in a three-week training in the Fall 2008.

Qualified candidates must be:

  • Epidemiologists of central and regional level;
  • Laboratory specialists from SES;
  • Infectiologists;
  • Veterinary doctors.

Application forms can be obtained at the American Councils office in Ashgabat (48A Gerogly Street) or at the American Corners in Dashoguz, Turkmenabat, Turkmenbashy, and Mary. The deadline for application submission is June 30, 2008.
