U.S. Studies Institute Exchange Programs
U.S. Studies Institute Exchange Programs are six-week academic programs for multinational groups professionals. The Program promotes a better understanding of the United States among teachers, scholars and other relevant foreign audiences, whose professional responsibilities center on, or are informed by, the study of the U.S. society, culture and institutions. U.S. Studies Institute Exchange Programs are organized by the U.S. Department of State. All programs will take place in June-July, 2007.
- A program on American Civilization is designed for mid-career professors in the field of American civilization, society, culture, values and institutions;
- A program on U.S. Politics and Political Thought is designed for experienced university faculty members in the field of U.S. politics and political thought;
- A program on Contemporary American Literature is designed for an experienced university faculty members or other specialists in contemporary American literature;
- A program on U.S. Foreign Policy is designed for an experienced university faculty member or other specialist in foreign policy;
- A program on Journalism and Media is designed for an experienced university faculty members or other specialists in journalism and media;
- A program on Religious Pluralism in the United States is designed for university faculty members or other specialists in U.S.religious pluralism;
- A program on U.S. Studies is designed for experienced secondary school educators or teacher trainers.
Candidates for all of these programs must be fluent English speakers. Only one candidate will be selected for each of these programs.
